Can you create a winning gin-based cocktail with a Jubilee theme? Enter Monty’s competition for the chance to win a prize for six people.

Can you come up with a winning cocktail to mix up at Monty's?

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the Queen’s 60th Diamond Jubilee than with a cocktail or two, and like-minded locals will be interested to hear Monty’s Cocktail Bar in Cheltenham has launched a special cocktail competition to mark the occasion in true style.

Now open and running up until Thursday 31 May 2012, budding mixologists (and non-professionals, only) are invited put their thinking caps on and create a gin-based cocktail with a Jubilee theme. It should include a minimum of 25ml of Beefeater Gin – sponsors of the competition – with no more than 50ml of alcohol in total, and a maximum of six ingredients.

All entries should be emailed to info@montysbrasserie.co.uk by the closing date, and the prize is a Monty’s Cocktail Masterclass for six people, plus a limited edition bottle of Beefeater Gin.

The best six competition entries will be chosen by organisers, and the nominated entries will be invited to Monty’s on Sunday 3 June 2012 from 7pm to get behind the bar and put together their creation.

The bar will be open to members of the public to watch the competition – so you better hope for a steady hand in front of your friends!, and there will be a 2 for 1 promotion running on Monty’s classic cocktails through the evening too.
