The dinosaurs exhibitions is great. My youngest and I are big fans of the series so it was nice to see the models up close...

Gloucestershire event listing guidelines
Find out how SoGlos.com's journalists choose which event listings to include on Gloucestershire's No. 1 guide to arts, entertainment and leisure.
While many websites allow event promoters to directly upload event information – or will be happy to copy and paste information supplied – SoGlos.com is decidedly different.
On SoGlos.com all event listings are approved, and written, by the online magazine’s experienced journalists. This firm commitment to the highest editorial standards ensures SoGlos.com’s remains the No. 1 guide to Gloucestershire arts, entertainment and leisure.
So while we warmly welcome event listing requests of all shapes and sizes, these guidelines have been established to help you understand what SoGlos.com’s journalists are looking for when deciding which events will make the cut.
To be considered for a listing on SoGlos.com, events must:
- Take place in Gloucestershire, within the GL postcode area.
- Be open to members of the public (member-only events are not suitable for inclusion).
- Be arts, entertainment or leisure related (business networking events, car boot sales, wedding fairs and coffee mornings are not suitable for inclusion).
- Have widescale interest (village hall fairs and other small-scale events are not suitable for inclusion).
- Occur during a set time (events which occur every week, such as regular classes or markets, are generally not suitable for inclusion).
- Take place in the real world (virtual events are not suitable for inclusion).
Additional guidelines:
- Event information and pictures supplied to SoGlos.com must not infringe any copyright.
- Event descriptions will always be written by SoGlos.com.
- Events taking place months or years in advance may not be considered for inclusion until closer to the event start date.
- Events which take place for more than one month, such as long art exhibitions, will be included at the discretion of SoGlos.com.
- Special offers do not constitute events on SoGlos.com. Please explore SoGlos.com’s display advertising opportunities for a great way to promote your special offer.
- All event listings are at the discretion of SoGlos.com.
Guidelines specific to enhanced event listings:
- SoGlos.com will always aim to approve enhanced event listing requests within 48 hours, but this may not be possible during peak times.
- Event picture(s) supplied must be of a good quality - to be determined by SoGlos.com - and relevant to the respective event (logos are not suitable for inclusion).
- Enhanced event listings will be included within the weekly email newsletter once – in the issue directly preceding, or on the week of, the event start date.
- Enhanced event listings are independent of what SoGlos.com’s journalists choose to feature as ‘Editor’s choice’ events on the online magazine.
Example event listings:
Check out SoGlos.com's calendars dedicated to Gloucestershire events, Cheltenham events, Cotswolds events, Forest of Dean events, Gloucester events, Stroud events and Tewkesbury events for examples of event listings which have been approved for inclusion.
Phew! Thanks for taking the time to read SoGlos.com’s event listing guidelines, and we’re sure you’ll agree that they help make the online magazine a better place for everyone.
