Badminton Estate throws open its garden gates this April 2024, offering the public a chance to admire stunning spring blooms in all their glory.
The beautiful gardens surrounding the home of the Duke and Duchess of Beaufort offer a variety of plants to view, with visitors able to take in colourful tulips and a host of seasonal flowers in magnificent surroundings from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 21 April 2024.
There are formal beds on the east side of the house, designed by Russell Page and and François Goffinet; and a south garden with wonderful water squares, hedges, beds and borders.
The walled garden, a short stroll from the house through the park, is home to the Badminton Estate kitchen garden, providing fruit and vegetables as well as cut flowers for much of the year.
The greenhouse is used for propagation and houses a fine display of pelargoniums.
Visitors will also get the chance to wander around the carefully cared for Well Cottage gardens, the home of Miranda Beaufort, for an additional charge of £3.
Explore shopping stalls for plants, flowers, gardening tools, and enjoy delightful treats, coffee from Knead Bakery, as well as hot cross buns and teas inside Badminton House's Old Kitchen for a cosy sit-down experience.
There's plenty of parking in front of Badminton House. Disabled or elderly visitors have a dedicated disabled parking area, too.
The majority of the gardens are accessible to wheelchairs and those with mobility issues, with accessible toilets available in the Old Hall.
