Bacon Theatre’s Cinema at Christmas

18 December – a double bill of festive flicks will be on the Bacon Theatre’s big screen, as the Cinema at Christmas event arrives in Cheltenham.

Not one, but two family-friendly festive flicks are being shown at the Bacon Theatre, to get film fans of all ages into the Christmas spirit. Complete with a Christmas tree, mince pies and a visit from a certain jolly man in red, the evening will also see treats for the children and plenty of mulled wine for the grown-ups.

The Christmas classic Polar Express is first on the bill at 5pm. Tom Hanks’ feature-length animated adventure takes place on Christmas Eve, with an excited boy unable to sleep when the magical train the Polar Express arrives to take him on the journey of a lifetime to the North Pole. Tickets cost £5 and include a Christmas treat.

Next is the winter wonderland adventure, The Chronicles of Narnia at 7.45pm. Beautifully adapted from C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, the magical tale follows four children through an old wardrobe into the enchanting land of Narnia, which is under the spell of the wicked Ice Queen who’s magic means it is always winter and never Christmas. Tickets cost £6 for adults and £5 for children including mulled wine or a soft drink and a mince pie.
