Wotton Electric Picture House will be showing a special one-off screening of Monty Python’s He’s Not the Messiah (He’s a Very Naughty Boy) on Thursday 25 March 2010.

The one-off event, being celebrated at cinemas worldwide, marks Monty Python’s 40th anniversary with a screening of a live performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

Described as a comic oratorio, written by Spamalot composers Eric Idle and John Du Prez, He’s Not the Messiah is based on Monty Python’s Life of Brian and Handel’s Messiah.

Starring Eric Idle, a series of outstanding soloists, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, as well as cameo roles from stars including Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones, the audience should expect the unexpected – including some bagpipes and some sheep.
