3D film season at The Roses

Don your glasses and grab a seat when an array of 3D films arrive at The Roses Theatre for a first time trial this August.

With 3D thrill seeking sweeping the cinematic nation, it wasn’t going to be long before The Roses rose to the challenge and brought three dimensional viewing to the Tewkesbury masses.

Trialling the popularity of 3D films during a special season of screenings, audiences of all ages can enjoy epic movies such as Avatar through to seeing Hannah Montana in concert from Friday 20 to Tuesday 31 August 2010.

The animated adventure Shrek Forever After 3D gets its first screening at The Roses on Friday 20 August 2010 at 2.30pm, with further screenings scheduled on the Sunday and Monday.

Streetdance 3D will see street dance and ballet collide on the big screen from Monday 23 August 2010 at 7.30pm.

Audiences will be transported to Pandora for another chance to 3D to full effect in Avatar 3D, from Tuesday 24 August 2010 at 7.30pm.

Tim Burton’s dark fairytale Alice in Wonderland 3D will be casting a magical spell over the screen from Wednesday 25 August 2010 at 2.30pm.

Young fans will be flocking to see Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert 3D in what organisers describe as state-of-the-art Disney Digital 3D on Thursday 26 August 2010 at 2.30pm.

While for three days Woody and Buzz will be back out of the toy box at The Roses for Toy Story 3 3D, kicking off on Friday 27 August 2010 at 2.30pm

More Pixar entertainment will ensue when Up 3D gets the three dimensional treatment, ‘taking animated storytelling to fabulous new heights’ from Tuesday 31 August 2010.

The stop frame adventure Coraline 3D will be the final screening in the special 3D festival, taking place on Tuesday 31 August 2010.
