From cult classics to the latest Oscar contenders, Barnsley House Hotel near Cirencester will be showing a unique series of film screenings in its private cinema as part of its Sunday Cinema Club, running from Sunday 30 September to Sunday 23 December 2012.
Seating up to 30 film fans on its pink leather sofas, Barnsley House’s cinema is a luxurious place to unwind in front of the big screen, complete with air-conditioning and the latest high-definition projector.
And as well as the feature presentation and popcorn, cinema-goers can indulge in afternoon tea from 3pm for £25 per person or a two-course supper following the film at 7pm for £30 per person.
On Sunday 30 September 2012 cinema-goers can see Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster screen adaptation of War Horse, which depicts the horror of the First World War through the journey of a horse, and its tale of sorrow, friendship and adventure.
On Sunday 14 October 2012 there’s the chance to see astronaut Sam Bell and his quintessentially personal encounter toward the end of a three-year space stint in Moon .
On Sunday 28 October 2012 Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Christian Slater all star in 90s horror classic Interview with the Vampire, which tells the epic life story of Louis de Pointe du Lac, and his love, betrayal, loneliness and hunger.
On Sunday 11 November 2012 Crash will show how a handful of Los Angeles citizens with vastly separate lives collide in interweaving stories of race, loss and redemption.
On Sunday 18 November 2012 Ewan McGregor will star in Big Fish; a tale about a son trying to learn more about his dying father by reliving the stories and myths he told about his life.
On Sunday 2 December 2012 the Oscar-winning Thelma and Louise will see a weekend getaway turn into a life on the run and ultimately a fateful decision for Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon.
On Sunday 16 December 2012 fans of foreign film can see the Spanish mystery drama Open Your Eyes, which tells the story of a handsome man in love who suffers a serious accident, leaving him severely disfigured and in need of reconstructive surgery.
While on Sunday 23 December 2012 there will be a festive screening of the Technicolor classic, White Christmas which stars the likes of Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney.
