Think you know your Avengers from your X-Men? Or this year’s blockbuster hits from the box office flops? Movie buffs across the county will have the chance to test their knowledge on all this and more at Café Rene when it hosts The Big Movie Quiz on Thursday 17 May 2012.
Kicking off the build up to the 2013 Gloucestershire Showcase Short Film Festival, the quiz will be led by local funnyman and Café Rene regular James Rushbrooke, and has a whole host of great prizes up for grabs.
The anticipated Gloucestershire Showcase Short Film Festival, due to take place on Saturday 1 June 2013 at Gloucester’s historic Blackfriars Priory, will give locals the chance to not only show off their filmmaking talents but also to bag the Showcase Best Film Award.
Gloucester residents are urged to unite their four best movie minds and enter their quiz team for just £5, with all money raised going towards the cost of next year’s Film Festival.
Organisers recently revealed the prizes on offer so far, including a pair of tickets to see the upcoming Barbarians Vs Ireland match and a £15 Café Rene voucher – with more to be announced.
So if you want to prove you and your team’s worth, get cramming now and head down to Café Rene for 7.45pm on the night.
