If you’re hoping to catch a film on Saturday 15 September 2012, but don’t fancy sitting in a dark and stuffy cinema, head on down to Sandford Parks Lido, where the Cheltenham Film Society will be presenting an evening outdoor screening of the 1970 drama Deep End.
Nestled in acres of landscaped gardens, the Lido has plenty of space for cinema-goers to stretch out and relax whilst enjoying the British-West German Jerzy Skolimowski flick.
In Deep End, the audience will see 15-year-old Mike take a job at his local swimming baths, where he becomes obsessed with Susan, an attendant there who is betrothed to another.
Mike becomes increasingly desperate and does his best to sabotage Susan’s relationship in the hope of winning her for himself, and ends up stalking both her and her fiancé – leading to tragic results.
Sure to get your spine-tingling, and a snip at just £5.50 a ticket, don’t delay in booking for what’s expected to be a hit with local drama lovers.
