Popular swimming resort Sandford Parks Lido will be the setting for a one-off outdoor cinema showing of Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday on Friday 31 August 2012, courtesy of the Cheltenham Film Society.
With fingers crossed for a balmy summer eve, this event is set to go down a storm with locals, who will have the chance to enjoy the 1953 Jacques Tati comedy within the four acres of landscaped gardens that is home to the Lido.
Organisers said: ‘Monsieur Hulot goes on a holiday to a seaside resort, but accidents and misunderstandings follow him where ever he goes. The peace and quiet of the hotel guests doesn’t last very long with Hulot around, because although his intentions are good, they always turn out catastrophically.’
Don’t miss your opportunity to see France’s answer to Mr Bean in Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday, which is suitable for all ages, for a hilarious end to the summer holidays.
