Well-known for its home cooked food, welcoming atmosphere and regular live music nights, Cafe Rene is adding yet another reason to visit the independent Gloucester venue with the introduction of its steak of the month promotion.
Kicking off this week, the promotion will see a different steak take up the guest slot each month. May 2012’s steak of the month is the finest 10oz Texas Longhorn rib-eye – cooked to your liking on Cafe Rene’s special chargrill and served with all the trimmings you’d expect.
A world-famous breed of cattle, the Texas Longhorn is known for its lean beef which is said to be lower in fat, cholesterol and calories than most other varieties – as well as being one of the tastiest cuts money can buy.
Carnivores will be able to get their hands on the coveted rib-eye every day throughout May at Cafe Rene, from midday to 10pm, with June’s steak of the month expected to be just as mouth watering…
