Those with an interest in crime and corruption – and top cookery – will have the chance to hear from renowned investigative journalist Roger Cook, during a special Sunday Lunch at Lords of the Manor.
Being held at the Cotswolds hotel on Sunday 20 May 2012, Cook will be talking about his experiences exposing crooks, con men and hardened criminals, as well as his long-running battle with Rupert Murdoch’s News International.
Organisers say: ‘Ultimately victorious in his case over defamatory articles in The Sunday Times and News of the World, Roger will be sharing his first-hand experience of the very topical subject of phone hacking and phone tapping.’
Lunch guests can also find out more about the years he headed up the most popular current affairs programme on British television, the Cook Report, which attracted audiences of up to 12m.
Plus, Roger will be signing copies of the brand new version of his memoir More Dangerous Ground, which provides updates on the cases that shook audiences when first aired, and will be available to purchase.
Starting with a glass of champagne, diners will be able enjoy a superb three-course Michelin Star lunch and an afternoon of sparkling conversation and fascinating anecdotes with one of Britain’s most famous investigative journalists.
