Calcot Spa is a Condé Nast runner up
News – Calcot Spa in the Cotswolds is a runner-up in the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Spa Awards 2010, making it one of the world’s top 25 spas.
Gloucestershire’s very own Calcot Spa narrowly missed the top spot in the search to find Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ favourite hotel spa in the UK.
The spa at the Calcot Manor hotel, near Tetbury, was named runner up in the Favourite UK Hotel Spa category at an awards ceremony at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in London on Monday 1 February 2010.
Its overall score of 93.91 per cent from the magazine’s readers also secured the Cotswolds spa’s position as number 21 within the World’s Top 25 Spas.
Ahead of celebrating its seventh anniversary this May, a £300,000 refurbishment of Calcot Spa has just been completed.
The transformation is said to include revitalised décor, an updated gym, a new hot tub and the spa pool has now been clad in rich Elterwater stone green slate.
