Tewkesbury adiZone opening
News – Tewkesbury adiZone, an innovative outdoor gym and sports area, will be officially opened in March – providing a fun and free way to keep fit in the fresh air, for all the family.
While outdoor gyms may be something associated with California beaches, Vinings Playing Fields in Tewkesbury will be home to its very own alfresco exercise venue when the new adiZone officially opens on Wednesday 31 March 2010.
Measuring 625sq metres, the new fitness park for families includes a range of sporting facilities inspired by Olympic and Paralympic sports – including a basketball, football and tennis area; a climbing wall; an outdoor gym and an open area to encourage dance, aerobics and gymnastics.
The only one of its kind in the south west, the new adiZone in Tewkesbury is free to use and will be open 365 days a year.
