Stuart Holmes named Salon of the Year

News - The Stuart Holmes Hair and Beauty Spa in Cheltenham has been named The Salon of the Year at the British Hairdressing Business Awards, described as 'the Oscars' of the hairdressing industry.

While Stuart Holmes’ stylish and coiffured clients from across Cheltenham might have been in on the secret for some time, it is now official that you don’t have to leave Gloucestershire to get the very best hair do in the land.

The Cheltenham-based Stuart Holmes Hair and Beauty Spa last night won one of the highest accolades in the British hairdressing industry when it was named The Salon of the Year at the British Hairdressing Business Awards.

The glitzy event, held in central London on Monday 20 September 2010, is likened to the Oscars of the hairdressing industry, and saw Stuart Holmes fight off stiff competition from hairdressing legends including Michael Van Clarke and Sir Trevor Sorbie.

The eponymous owner Stuart Holmes, who opened the Cheltenham salon with his wife six years ago, said winning the award was a true highlight of his career: ‘To be named as Salon of the Year is simply amazing. Nothing can describe how I feel. I am incredibly proud of the whole team.’
