The lowdown: Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or complete beginner, The Isbourne in Cheltenham plays host to weekly Flowing Yoga sessions with experienced teacher, Ann Morley. Taking place on Saturday mornings, the fun and friendly classes promise to give participants an energy boost for the weekend, offering a well-rounded practice that’s suitable for all abilities. Designed to help improve balance and coordination, strengthen the body and increase resilience, Flowing Yoga can help you feel refreshed, focused and revitalised, encouraging a healthy body and mindset. The lowdown: Take your exercising to new heights at Funky Warehouse trampoline park in Cheltenham, which hosts Springfit exercise classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Suitable for all fitness levels and promising an enjoyable way to work up a sweat, the classes combine a challenging workout with plenty of fun too. During the one-hour session, jumpers can burn off some calories as they bounce around, with the exercise designed to strengthen and tone the whole body. What’s more, those who book five Springfit sessions will receive their sixth class free of charge, offering even more incentive to schedule them into your calendar!
SoGlos loves: Even if you’re not heading to Funky Warehouse for its dedicated Springfit classes, the trampoline park is perfect for burning off some steam regardless, with its special teen and adult sessions promising two hours of solid bouncing around – the perfect way to get active with friends. The lights go down and the music goes up during the evening events, taking place on Fridays and Saturdays, when there’s the chance to jump and dance to your heart’s content.

The lowdown: One Grove is a specialist Reformer and Equipment Pilates studio located in the heart of Cheltenham, offering a range of services including mat and seated Pilates, Barre, HIIT, reformer and Yoga classes, run by a team of elite instructors and teachers. The lowdown: Whether you’re a attending as a member or an ad-hoc visitor, Leisure at Cheltenham hosts a wide range of exercise classes for all ages and abilities, with its timetable including sessions dedicated to strength and toning; cardio; mind and body; active lifestyle; and water workouts, in addition to offering junior classes and sessions for over 50s. Taking place in the centre’s various spaces, the class timetable includes everything from circuits, spin cycling, and Pilates, to Zumba, yoga, and aqua aerobics, meaning there’s plenty of variety to suit varying lifestyles, ages and fitness levels.

The lowdown: A popular trampoline park in Gloucester, XJump offers an exciting high-energy alternative to the gym with its dedicated fitness sessions, taking place twice weekly and promising a brilliant workout for ages 14 and above. The enjoyable and exertive classes are led by a qualified instructor and are designed to provide a full-body workout, with the aim to help jumpers improve their fitness levels, get stronger, more toned, and aid weight loss. What’s more with ten minutes bouncing on the trampoline an equivalent cardio workout to half an hour jogging, everyone is guaranteed to work up a sweat – but not without having some fun. Venue: Brickhampton Court Golf Complex
The lowdown: Gloucestershire’s finest golf range that’s perfectly located between Gloucester and Cheltenham, Brickhampton Court offers a fully-carpeted driving range with 28 individual bays, each of which are sheltered from the elements. Providing the perfect location to practice alone, or take a lesson from one of Brickhampton Court’s golf professionals, a session at the driving range offers the chance to practice your swing and get some exervise. There are even plenty of comfortable lounge chairs so you can wind-down after your driving session, and catch up with friends over coffee.
SoGlos loves: Footgolf and Rugbygolf are also available at Brickhampton Court if you fancy trying something a bit different. As well as being easy sports to pick up, the low-impact nature means it’s also a great way to get moving if you’ve not exercised for a while, or are looking for some gentle exercise after an injury.
