North’s Bakery in Bishops Cleeve

Offering everything from crusty whites, wholemeal and granary to cottage loaves, bloomers and delicious sourdough, North's Bakery will be bringing its popular bakes to Bishops Cleeve this month.

Similar to its Winchcombe base, the independent bakery will offer a range of speciality breads at its new store — such as walnut and raisin — as well as a large range of confectionary including its own chocolate range, wedding cakes, pastries and seasonal homemade cakes all year round.

While an official opening date is yet to be revealed, the bakery is set to open doors before the end of March 2024.

The Steam and Whistle in Cheltenham

Much-loved pizza company Marvellous Medicine Ltd, which often takes residency at DEYA Brewery, has revealed plans to open its first ever venue offering craft beers, cocktails and pizzas in the building previously occupied by The Midland, just next door to Cheltenham Spa train station.

The team promises to breathe life into the old Victorian pub, revamping the building with 'marvellous magic' — think your favourite pizzas, belting tunes, live music, comedy and events.

The Steam and Whistle is set to open doors to keen revellers over Easter weekend.

Roots + Seeds Deli in Cirencester

Foodies in the Cotswolds can get their hands on homegrown and artisan produce from Roots + Seeds' new deli when it opens in Cirencester on Saturday 9 March 2024.

The cafe and restaurant at the Old Kennels in Cirencester is expanding its offering by opening its new deli in the unit directly opposite, next door to Lily's Antiques, selling the produce and ingredients used in its kitchen directly to consumers — showcasing harvests picked daily from the kitchen garden, alongside seasonal and artisanal products made in-house or sourced from Roots + Seeds' regular suppliers, all with transparent and traceable supply chains.

Eynsham Baths at Estelle Manor in the Cotswolds

Described as a place of ritual and indulgence, a 3,000 sq m Roman-inspired bath house and spa — Eynsham Baths — is set to open at the Cotswolds Estelle Manor, on Friday 8 March 2024.

Hidden in an ancient woodland, the baths promise sculpted columns and carved marble details with a vast tepidarium bathing hall, five pools, a relaxing lounge, and 10 treatment rooms, including couples’ suites and thermal cabins.

There will also be an open-air hideaway and bar with a hidden pool and a cascading waterfall surrounded by natural wildflowers and woodland ferns.

TreeDwellers at Cornbury Park in the Cotswolds

Offering unique stays and the chance to feel like the modern day George of the Jungle, TreeDwellers — the UK’s first treehouse specialist — is launching its first base in the Cotswolds.

Combining the privacy of self-catering accommodation with a luxury concierge team, the seven unique properties are encased in timber and glass to emulate nature's curves, being built within 1,700 acres of ancient woodland in Cornbury Park.

Visitors will be able to lie back, while listening to the sounds and vibrations of the forest amplified around them. Stays at TreeDwellers are available to book from this month, but please note that the site isn't due to open until June 2024.

The Airs & Graces in Cheltenham

The Bottle of Sauce's parent company, Dodo Pub Co, is opening a second pub in the town this month, taking over the Grade II-listed Sudeley Arms pub on Prestbury Road.

The new venue, The Airs & Graces, will feature Dodo Pub Co's signature style but with a slightly different food offering, with a focus on Neapolitan-style pizzas and bar snacks, as well as a unique menu of topped garlic bread.

An official opening date is yet to be confirmed but it's expected to open before the end of March 2024.

The Fresh Standard Tap Room in Stroud

Reopening after a short renovation hiatus on Friday 1 March 2024, Stroud's beer fans can look forward to sipping on The Fresh Standard Brew Co's craft beers once again this month, as well as indulging in exciting foodie pop-ups and live music, in its newly revamped space.

The Fresh Standard Tap Room is now open and available to visit on Fridays and Saturdays from 2pm to 9pm, and on Sundays from 2pm to 6pm.

Chuck at Gloucester Food Dock

London-based burger restaurant Chuck is another name joining the impressive lineup of new openings at Gloucester Food Dock this March 2024, offering menu items from its signature Chuck and Cheese beef burgers to the Miss Piggy pulled pork with double beef; Mexican-themed chicken burgers; and a range of vegan burgers including the Bandito black bean patty, plant-based No Clucking Katsu and Jack The Fruit.

An official opening date is yet to be confirmed, but the burger joint is expected to open by the end of March 2024.

Elote at Gloucester Food Dock

Elote is inspired by trips to the USA and Mexico and will bring a celebration of true Mexican cuisine to the city when it opens at Gloucester Food Dock — with dishes like elote corn, ceviche and pastor tacos on offer, in a cosy terracotta-coloured space.

The business will buy specialist ingredients direct from Mexican grocers to provide an authentic experience, similar to what you could expect in homes and restaurants across the country.

An official opening date is yet to be confirmed, but doors to the Mexican eatery are expected to be open by the end of March 2024.

Strip at Gloucester Food Dock

Relocating from Stroud to Gloucester Food Dock this March 2024, Strip Steak Bar is bringing premium quality Black Angus strip steak at affordable prices to Gloucester, with a fast-paced, casual dining setting and meals available to eat in or take away.

Signature dishes include premium sirloin strip steak with beef dripping fries; and strip steak wrap with crispy onions and Cheddar sauce; as well as a non-meat option featuring a special vegan steak.

While an official opening date is yet to be confirmed, the restaurant is expected to open later this month.
