Katherine Jenkins at Westonbirt Arboretum
19 July – Katherine Jenkins will play a one-off concert at Westonbirt Arboretum in the summer of 2008 alongside the National Symphony Orchestra, she will be supported by classical pop band Blake, and tickets are set to sell-out.
Westonbirt Arboretum’s summer concerts don’t just sell-out, but sell-out fast, with Katherine Jenkins proving her popularity by being Westonbirt’s fastest-selling concert for the summer 2008. If you haven’t booked tickets yet, then be quick for the July date.
As part of The Forestry Commission’s 2008 Forest Tours, the classical superstar Katherine Jenkins will be performing with The National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Anthony Inglis, with the outdoor concert culminating in a spectacular firework finale that is sure to be a fantastic climax to the Saturday evening for fans across Gloucestershire and beyond.
Redefining the concept of classical crossover, Katherine has achieved global sales of more than 3 million during her career so far. Her debut album, 2004’s appropriately titled Premiere, was the fastest selling of all time by a Mezzo Soprano, with well over 30,000 copies snapped-up in the first week.
She is the only singer in musical history to simultaneously hold the Number 1, 2, 3 and 4 position in the classical album charts, which she achieved with Premiere, Second Nature, Living the Dream and Serenade in 2007. Serenade also went to Number 5 in the pop charts and has sold over a half a million copies to date. Plus, Katherine's new album Rejoice has just been released to further popular approval and commercial success.
Katherine will be supported by the classical / pop crossover act, Blake, at her 2008 summer concerts, including Westonbirt Arboretum’s date.
While it may be a little early to start planning the picnics or looking at the weather forecasts, it is never too early to reserve tickets for Westonbirt Arboretum’s ridiculously popular Forest Tours series of concerts, especially when the leading lady of classical music Katherine Jenkins is headlining the bill.
