Elvis at the Roses Theatre

Event ended

From Graceland to Gloucestershire comes Gordon Hendricks, an exceptional tribute to the young Elvis who is guaranteed to get crowds at the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury all shook up once again.

While Elvis Presley impersonators are ten a penny on the tribute circuit, Gordon Hendricks gives a rendition of the King in his heyday that fans would be hard-pushed to find elsewhere on the planet.

And, on Saturday 26 September 2009, the pelvis-grinding, jumpsuit-wearing tribute to the young Elvis will be promising to give crowds at the Roses Theatre a two-hour show to remember, when he returns to the Tewkesbury venue.

Winning the grand final of Stars in their Eyes, thanks to more than 80,000 votes from the public, is just one of the thirty-something performer’s many accolades. In fact singer-songwriter Geoff Morrow, who penned four hits for Elvis, was so impressed by Gordon’s television performance that he instantly signed him to his record label.

Gordon also impressed Elvis’s original backing singers who asked to record an album with him, and in 2006 he was presented with the Best 1968 Comeback Special award at the Elvies – Europe’s largest Elvis festival.

Organisers promise that this one-night-only show will offer fans more than just an impersonation of the musical legend. ‘Gordon performs a sincere, authentic tribute with a huge amount of talent and an uncanny resemblance to Presley both vocally and physically,’ organisers say.
