New Model Army gig in Stroud
29 May – See seminal band New Model Army take to the stage at Stroud Subscription Rooms this summer, supported by locals Chinese Burn.
New Model Army, a world renowned band with a massive and loyal fan base, are coming to Gloucestershire this summer to perform a one-off gig at Stroud Subscription Rooms. Celebrated for their enigmatic live performances, expect a gig packed with power on Thursday 29 May 2008.
According to organisers ‘NMA is unsurpassed in demonstrating an unrivalled versatility spanning rock through to punk and acoustic genres, combined with poetic lyrics full of humanitarian and political verve.’ With support at this gig coming from hugely popular local band Chinese Burn.
Whether you were an original fan of New Model Army’s minimalist punk in the 1980s or are looking forward to being treated to a live performance from their latest album High, this is the perfect opportunity for local fans – of which there are sure to be many out in force – to get their iconic t-shirts out of the loft.
