The dinosaurs exhibitions is great. My youngest and I are big fans of the series so it was nice to see the models up close...

Greenbelt Festival is an all-age festival of arts and culture with its roots in the Christian faith, taking place at Cheltenham Racecourse from Friday 27 to Monday 30 August 2010, and attracting almost 20,000 visitors from across Gloucestershire and beyond.

With five stages of live music from a diverse range of eclectic artists, a line-up of talks from leading thinkers, and a host of family activities vying for visitors attention in 2010, this year’s Greenbelt Festival-goers are truly in for a treat during the August bank holiday.

Music headliners confirmed to play Greenbelt Festival 2010 include the US musician, ‘forefather of rap’ and spoken word stalwart Gil Scott-Heron, soul diva Beverley Knight, jazz legend Courtney Pine and 90s indie band Shed Seven.

Other names to excite the crowds include The Dodge Brothers, Ugly Duckling, The Herbaliser, chart-toppers The King Blues, Ty, Lou Rhodes, the London Community Gospel Choir, Foy Vance and Grammy-winners Jars of Clay.

Robin Ince, Jude Simpson and Radio 4’s Milton Jones comprise some of the festival’s comedy highlights; with politicians, theologians, authors and activists including civil rights campaigner Peter Tatchell, former MP Clare Short, and theologian Stanley Hauer lined-up for many of the talks.

Plus, this year don’t miss the new family fun area, the line-up of theatre performances and visual arts installations, as well as film screenings including In The Loop and Up.
