Alternative rock night at The 2 Pigs
13 September – The 2 Pigs in Cheltenham will be the setting for a night of unmissable alternative rock this month, when a trio of bands take to the stage.
The 2 Pigs in Cheltenham continues to pay homage to its reputation as a live music Mecca this month, when bands The Diving Secret, Screaming Eagle and Souls all take to the stage for a night of alternative rock.
Hailing from Cheltenham, The Divine Secret formed in 2005 and has since carved itself an excellent reputation on the local circuit. The dynamic three-piece band includes vocalist and guitarist Joe Green, bass player Barny Barnfield and drummer Ben Newham, and audiences can expect to hear tracks drawing upon a cross between Incubus and Skunk Anansie with a pinch of Queens of the Stoneage thrown in for good measure.
Also on the bill, Welsh-based band Screaming Eagle will be bringing their alternative rock and jazz sounds to the stage, while Bristol-based rockers Soul will complete the night’s trio.
Event: Gig by The Divine Secret, Screaming Eagle and Souls
Venue: The 2 Pigs
Date: Saturday 13 September 2008
Times: Live music kicks off at 7pm
Tickets: Cost £3 in advance or with an NUS card, £4 on the door.
