Simply Red concert at Westonbirt Arboretum

Mick Hucknall’s band Simply Red will be playing live at Westonbirt Arboretum, near Tetbury, the summer of 2010 – in the first Forest Tours concert to be announced. Tickets are on sale now.

Simply Red will play a live concert at Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire on Saturday 19 June 2010, as part of Forestry Commission’s new series of Live Music tours.

For the second year in a row, Mick Hucknall’s band will play to predictably sell-out crowds at Westonbirt – in this, the first concert announced at the arboretum for 2010.

Described as one of the most popular bands of the past 25 years, the band fronted by Mick Hucknall has a back catalogue of hits including ‘Holding Back The Years’, ‘If You Don’t Know Me By Now’, ‘Stars’, ‘For Your Babies’, ‘Fairground’ and ‘Angel’, which fans are sure to enjoy live versions of at the Westonbirt concert.

Mick Hucknall said: ‘As we had such fun performing a solo forest show at Westonbirt Arboretum this year, we decided it would be great to play all the forest concert venues around the country in 2010. It is a fantastic experience for a band to play in these unique settings.’
