Goldie Lookin Chain, the Welsh ‘wonder rappers’ who stormed the charts with the hit ‘Guns Don`t Kill People, Rappers Do’, will be playing a live gig at Stroud Subscription Rooms this September.

Performing their latest album Asbo4Life, which was released in April 2009, as well as tracks from their 2004 debut Greatest Hits and follow-up Safe As F**K, the Newport hip hop collective will be attracting fans from across Gloucestershire to this one off gig, which has been organised as the headline event of the Stroud Fringe Festival 2009.

According to promoters of the band’s latest album: ‘Tracks like ‘Mister Fahrenheit’ is so rock n roll that on test listens people claimed to have been physically touched by the spirit of Freddie Mercury. And if the contagious beats and chorus of first single ‘By Any Means Necessary’ doesn’t infect your mind to the point of you singing it until your eyes bleed, then you’re probably dead.’

Arriving on Stroud Subscription Rooms’ stage fresh from performing at festivals around the world this summer, the chance to see Goldie Lookin Chain in Gloucestershire is one not to be missed.
