Walk The Line Festival in Cheltenham

Event ended

Walk The Line, a unique and unmissable weekend festival of music and poetry, will be coming to Cheltenham for two days this autumn.

Oxford indie band This Town Needs Guns will also be playing.

The first Walk The Line music and poetry festival will be taking place at a handful of Cheltenham venues on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2009.

Walk the Line is unique, and a first for Gloucestershire, in that over 18s festival-goers purchase a wristband meaning they can attend as many, or as little, of the events planned throughout the weekend for one price – literally walking the line to and from venues.

While the exact schedule is top secret, on Friday 30 October 2009 revellers can expect to hear 8-fold, Aspen Sails, Byron Vincent, Charlie Baxter, Crazy Arm, Chris T-T, The Fennel Situation, Post War Years, Talons, This Town Needs Guns, Tubelord, and Will Dance For Chocolate all playing live.

While on Saturday 31 October 2009, Cheltenham crowds can take in performances from Amy Spencer, Dan Batchelor, Juey, Ben Marwood, Broadcast 2000, Crowns on the Rats Orchestra, The Echoes, Elle Cooper, Fighting Fiction, Jim Lockey and the Solemn Sun, Lets Tea Party, Oxygen Thief, Ryan Martin, Sam Isaac, Thrill Collins.

A range of diverse Cheltenham venues will be hosting the performances; including the Frog and Fiddle, Slak, D-Fly, Cheltenham Town Hall, Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum, as well as The Conservatory.

Walk The Line tickets cost £9.50, or £14.50 for a VIP ticket to queue-jump, available online from seetickets.co.uk.
