Voice of the Heart in Cheltenham
Karen Carpenter fans from across Cheltenham and beyond will be heading to the Bacon Theatre for a two-hour fix of tender tribute melodies.
Fittingly being held the evening before Valentine’s Day is Voice of the Heart, a show packed with Karen Carpenter tributes that fans will enjoy.
With vocals from Carole Gordon accompanied by the talented Blue Jeans Band’s singers and dancers, the show will be held at the Bacon Theatre on Saturday 13 February 2010.
Aiming to recreate the iconic music of The Carpenters, the evening is expected to include everything from ‘Yesterday Once More’, ‘Goodbye to Love’ and ‘Close to You’, to the harmonious medleys from the Carpenters’ back catalogue such as ‘Top of the World’, ‘Sweet, Sweet Smile’, and ‘Jambalaya’.
As the title suggests, the evening will include the most popular songs of Karen Carpenter’s most poignant album Voice of the Heart.
