New music video service launch in Gloucester

News - Local musician and video editor Joe Banyard has launched an exciting new project that he hopes will put Gloucestershire’s live musical talent on the map.

Officially launched this spring, Live! @ Gloucester Studio is a new service offering local bands the opportunity to record professional quality live music videos – no doubt making a perfect addition to MySpace pages everywhere.

The project is the brainchild of 21-year old Joe Banyard, a local self-employed video editor, who was inspired to launch the new service after joining a band last year and experiencing the difficulties of trying to get noticed in a crowded and competitive field.

Joe hopes Live! @ Gloucester Studio will provide bands like his own with a rare chance to grab the music industry’s attention.

Live! uses Gloucester Studio’s recording facilities to film high quality two- to three–song videos of new bands, which are then displayed on the project website. Joe handles video production, making use of top-of-the-range HD cameras, while his 20-year-old band mate and old school friend Chris Faice works in the professional sound booth.

Joe is excited and optimistic about the project, explaining: ‘Videos are a great way to help put a face to the music and help booking agents get a sense of how an artist performs before they book them.’
