Lechlade Festival
A two-day family-friendly feast of music will be arriving in the Cotswolds, when the first Lechlade Festival takes place on the banks of the River Thames this May.
Described as a family music festival being held in an idyllic Cotswolds location, the first ever Lechlade Festival is set to take place on the banks of the River Thames on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 May 2011.
From ska and punk to jazz and belly dancing, the inaugural festival will feature a host of live entertainment spread over two stages on both days.
The Riverside stage will feature Inkubus Sukkubus, Westbourne Circus, Flipron, Rebel Territory, Dirt Royal, Jet Pack, The Bon Bonz, Pignose and Slagerij during the two days, not to mention entertainment from Billy In The Lowground, Swing From Paris, The Disco Pierats, Hands Down, Kieland Ridge, Raw Element and many, many more.
The Halfpenny Stage, meanwhile, will feature Anchor and The Wolf, Alex Gear, The Big Brunch Band, Charlie Baxter, Dave Benson, The Blackwaters, Geoff Bowman, Frankenstein’s Lobster, Anna Giles, Colin Greenway, Braham Levy, Dave Menday, Derrick and Chris Beer and Friends, Drew Bryant, Silver Sam, Ian Thompson, Linda Watkins, Luke Keegan, Rory Gear & Ken Hierons, Take Two, Zophia, Kingslake, as well as Keegan and Gower.
There’s also plenty to keep the kids smiling, with attractions including an inflatable circus slide, helter skelter and roundabout, fairground games, candy floss, as well as ‘make and take’ activities at the Arty Smarty Crafty Party, and Bungee Trampolines.
Plus, there will be a real ale bar, a tasty hog roast to tuck into, stalls selling plenty of goodies and lots, lots more for the anticipated Lechlade Festival.
