Gloucestershire festival-goers won’t have to go far to enjoy a cracking line-up of top acts this summer, thanks to the welcome return of Lakefest music festival 2014.

Taking place at Croft Farm Waterpark in Tewkesbury from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 August 2014, the family-friendly festival is set to play host to a superb line-up of acts, alongside stunning scenery, a top selection of beers and ciders, fancy dress, games and water sports such as aqua zorbing, not to mention camping – and even some glamping!

Organisers say that tickets are selling out quickly, with the likes of Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Ade Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds, Neville Staple and Snap! already confirmed to perform.

Devised by the organisers of the popular West Country Cider and Music Festival, which was held at the same location in April 2011 and attracted thousands of visitors, Lakefest is described as taking the local festival to a whole new level, which saw it being voted into the top 10 of the UK Festival Awards 2012 for Best Small, Best New and Best Family Festival, as well as The Grass Roots Festival Award categories.

With a range of well-priced tickets now on sale, Gloucestershire music fans shouldn’t miss the opportunity to get their summers off to a flying – and thoroughly entertaining – start right now. With some stiff competition expected for a place in one of the Lakefest tipis and pods…
