Maggie’s Cheltenham Christmas Concert

Hear a celebrated mezzo soprano, a band and two choirs perform at this inaugural Christmas Concert in aid of charity Maggie’s Cheltenham – complete with mince pies to boot.

Maggie’s Cheltenham is putting on its first-ever Christmas concert on Thursday 15 December 2011, being held in the stunning Cheltenham College Chapel.

Organisers say the evening, entitled A Fanfare for Christmas, will be packed with a musical program to suit all tastes, including internationally celebrated mezzo soprano Sarah Connolly CBE, The Flowers Brass Band, The Testify Gospel Choir and The Cheltenham Youth Choir.

Audiences can also expect to enjoy Christmas readings and congregational carols, plus mulled wine and mince pies to be served in The Portico during the interval.

This festive fundraiser will be helping Maggie’s Cheltenham provide a unique programme of information, practical and emotional support to people with cancer and their loved ones – and is sure to prove a Christmas highlight for the town.
