Sam Eden gig at Cafe Rene
Up and coming Malvern musician Sam Eden is the next act playing Cafe Rene this January, performing an evening of acoustic, folk, rock and pop ballads.
The live music line-up at Cafe Rene keeps getting better and better, and this Wednesday 18 January 2012 will be no exception when Malvern-based acoustic, folk, rock and pop ballad musician Sam Eden entertains audiences in the intimate setting.
Sam is described as combining powerful vocals and engaging lyrics with intricate piano melodies and delicate guitar styles. His influences stretch far and wide, ‘with life itself most prominent’, including modern artists such as Damien Rice and David Grey, songwriter legends such as Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan and classical composers Beethoven and Chopin.
Sam has played around one thousand shows across the midlands and Wales, including his fair share of renowned venues, and festivals including the Big Chill, Birmingham Artsfest and Malvern May Day Fest.
His debut album Kill the Lights, released in June 2011, was recorded, mixed and produced entirely by Sam and took 15 months to complete. It features 12 tracks drawing on all of Sam’s musical styles – some of which Cafe Rene crowds can expect to hear at his forthcoming one-night-only Gloucester gig.
