The Forestry Commission’s 2012 line-up for live music concerts at Westonbirt Arboretum is nothing short of spectacular, and SoGlos.com is delighted to reveal that British music institution Madness has been added to the bill for a summer gig.

Playing the picturesque Cotswolds venue on Sunday 24 June 2012, Madness is recognised as one of the leading bands of the ska-rooted revival, experiencing a huge haul of hits in the 1980s – and going on to spend more weeks on the charts in that decade than any other group.

Madness is renowned for its storming live shows, and fans of all generations will love the chance to sing and dance along to hits including ‘One Step Beyond’, ‘Our House’, ‘Baggy Trousers’, ‘Embarrassment’ , ‘Wings Of A Dove’, ’House Of Fun’, ‘My Girl’ and ‘Driving In My Car’.

After 30 years as a British pop institution, the band is currently recording its tenth album – the follow-up to The Liberty of Norton Folgate – so audiences can also expect new material alongside all the classics.

Commenting on the forthcoming Gloucestershire concert, Madness frontman Suggs said: ‘Since we played last in Westonbirt something strange has been happening down in the west country… the crowds have been going crazy, we can’t wait to get back there for even more nutty times.’

Tickets are on sale now directly through ticketmaster.co.uk and are expected to sell out quick, you’d be mad to miss this summer spectacular in the Cotswolds.
