Pop princess Ladyhawke is back with a bang in 2012, and is set to light up the Gloucester Guildhall stage on Wednesday 25 April 2012 with a live gig.
After the success of her self-titled debut album and anthemic single ‘My Delirium’ shot Ladyhawke, aka Pip Brown, to stardom in 2008, all went a little quiet. But she is back this year, with follow-up album Anxiety, which ‘promises to exceed those achievements and establish the wildly talented young tunesmith as one of her generation’s most beloved pop heroines,’ according to organisers.
Having been compared to the likes of Little Boots, La Roux and Lady Gaga, New Zealander Ladyhawke has spent the last 18 months perfecting the latest album and her ‘irresistible hooks, fresh beats and ear-grabbing synth sounds’ to set her apart from the crowd.
The Fly recently said: ‘With an album like Anxiety in her armoury, we can’t see regret being a big part of Pip’s plans…’
The audience at popular music venue, Gloucester Guildhall, can expect to dance the night away to many a synth- and guitar-laced anthem from both her new and old albums, in what’s sure to be an energy-packed evening.
