See The Voice’s barefooted wonder, Vince Freeman, live when he plays an acoustic set at Cheltenham Town Hall’s Pillar Room.

Fans of BBC One’s The Voice will be excited to hear that local lad, Vince Freeman, is set to play an intimate, acoustic set at Cheltenham Town Hall’s Pillar Room on Friday 4 May 2012.

Having been told by The Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am that his voice is ‘awesome, awesome, awesome,’ and impressing all four superstar coaches with his raw rendition of Kings of Leon’s ‘Sex On Fire’, the barefooted crooner made it through the blind auditions and onto The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue’s team.

Before appearing on The Voice UK, Freeman began making a name for himself by playing more than 300 gigs a year. He won Best UK Male Solo Act at the 2008 Indy Awards, and has shared the stage with the likes of Ed Sheeran, James Morrison and Jocelyn Brown.

He then spent the last three years in France writing, recording and honing his skills as a producer and songwriter, before being propelled into the spotlight in 2012 – ahead of releasing his new album.

Lynn Cleckner, sales and marketing manager at Cheltenham Town Hall, said: ‘Vince will be singing favourite hits like ‘Sex On Fire’ alongside his own popular, personally-penned songs such as ‘Beauty Queen’.

‘This singing, songwriting sensation guarantees a great night out – expect soulful songwriting, heartfelt ballads, possibly a bit of gossip about the celeb judges and, of course, no shoes!’
