In what promises to be a true live music highlight for Cheltenham this Thursday 3 May 2012, none other than 1960s British rock legends The Animals will be playing to audiences in the intimate setting of Subtone nightclub.
The one night only gig is being held to mark the launch of Upton Festival – which takes place in August – and on Thursday nights in May and June the region’s most up and coming acts will be battling it out in front of Subtone’s audiences to win cash prizes and the chance to perform at the summer event.
While you may be too young to have enjoyed The Animals’ hits the first time round, you’re sure to recognise their timeless sing-along tracks including the likes of ‘House of the Rising Sun’, ‘We Gotta Get Out of This Place’, ‘It’s My Life’ and ‘Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’ – with the Subtone gig starring original band members Eric Burden and Hilton Valentine.
What’s more, Subtone’s resident band Cuginis will be supporting the rock legends – making this an unmissable Thursday night out for party goers all over.
