As the nation gears up to celebrate the Queen’s upcoming Diamond Jubilee, the Roses Theatre is hoping to mark the milestone with a live performance from brit-rockers Cool Britannia, set to take place on Saturday 26 May 2012.
Promising to revisit all six decades of our monarch’s reign in a fast and energetic show, gig-goers can expect to see tributes to some of the best artists and bands to hail from Blighty – from David Bowie to Blur, and Pink Floyd to Oasis.
The band is said to boast a line up of world class musicians who have played alongside the likes of The Sex Pistols and Sinead O’Connor – so high standards are expected by the hardened music fans in the county.
Organisers said: ‘Audiences will be left with a real sense of national pride as classic anthems such as ‘Life On Mars’, ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ and, of course, ‘God Save The Queen’ come together in a set that will defy anybody not to want to wave a Union Jack.’
