Gloucester gig-goers and comedy fans alike are in for a treat when London’s premier comedy mash-up rock band, Rayguns Look Real Enough, storm the stage at local music venue, Café Rene, on Friday 13 July 2012.
Promising to deliver a frenetic, high energy show, duo Ryan Beange and Paul Flannery are no strangers to reducing crowds to tears of laughter whilst attempting to dance, having played a plethora of festivals and big-name venues across the country – including the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe.
Since being unfortunately dropped by its record label last year, Rayguns Look Real Enough has gone from strength to strength, and the boys were even crowned winners at the 2011 Timeout Alternative Eurovision with a performance that combined an ill-fitting PVC tiger costume with James Blunt-style guitar playing.
Organisers said: ‘Taking only the best bits of the best songs, coupled with all the bravado and peacock strutting of a massive stadium band, Rayguns deliver an unrivalled entertainment experience that’s comedy, cabaret and live rock rolled into one!
‘Think Spinal Tap meets Morecambe and Wise… with a tiger.’
We think that seeing has got to be believing when it comes to these rockers.
