Charlotte Church at Gloucester Guildhall

Charlotte Church will be introducing an intimate audience to her brand new sound live at Gloucester Guildhall this summer, after years away from the music scene.

Charlotte Church will be treating a local audience to a huge comeback performance on Saturday 18 August 2012, in what’s expected to be an instant sell-out success for venue Gloucester Guildhall.

Tickets to see Charlotte Church, the UK’s original ‘voice of an angel’, are on sale from the Gloucester Guildhall box office now.

Since being in the public eye from the tender age of 11, Charlotte has released no less than six albums to date – many achieving platinum and gold status – she’s sang for the Pope and President, and duetted with some of the biggest names in the business.

Following a glittering classical-cum-pop career, Charlotte took a break from music and headed down the television route, bagging the Best Female Comedy Newcomer award for The Charlotte Church Show in the 2006 British Comedy Awards along the way. She most recently appeared as a popular judge on Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Over The Rainbow in 2010.

Organisers said: ‘Be amongst the first to witness the latest and most exciting reincarnation of the former child star.

‘Charlotte Church hits Gloucester Guildhall with her bold and unique new sound, creating vast musical landscapes, with big drums, big guitars, and a voice that has sold over 10 million records. Leave your preconceptions at the door.’

Following a few years’ break from music, Charlotte Church is back with the bit between her teeth and a point to prove, so catch the Welsh warbler live in action for yourself.
