According to organisers, ‘if Robert Plant and Jimi Hendrix made love to the sounds of Audioslave, they’d probably sound similar to the likes of Tracer.’
So fans of all of the above are expected to head to Gloucester Guildhall on Friday 5 October 2012, to see Australian rock band Tracer for themselves, and decide whether the claims ring true.
The trio from down under is said to embody a sonic sledgehammer sound steeped in epic guitars, clever hooks and raw, uncompromising vocals – blending 70s classic with 90s stoner rock, which landed them not only an international record deal but also a UK headline tour for 2012.
Gig goers can look forward to hearing tracks from latest album Spaces in Between on the night, which is said to have been receiving rave reviews from bloggers and music publications worldwide, and helped bag the band third place in Planet Rock radio’s Best New Band poll earlier in the year.
Tracer will be supported by UK-based blues rockers Virgil and the Accelerators, a power trio also hoping to pack a real punch at the Guildhall.
