Sporting a celebrity fan list including Michael Parkinson, Jonathon Ross, Terry Wogan and Sarah Ferguson, The Fab Beatles have earned themselves a great reputation as an authentic Beatles tribute band.
And on Sunday 25 November 2012, Gloucestershire fans of the original Liverpool rock/pop legends are expected to descend on Bishops Cleeve Tithe Barn, for a tribute show starting out with early ‘Hamburg’ material and going right through all the popular singles and album tracks to ‘Let It Be’.
Don’t think a tribute band can live up to the real thing? Well, The Fab Beatles were commissioned by The Beatles’ own record label, EMI, to promote the Beatles 1 album, have been chosen by the BBC as the best Beatles tribute band in the UK, and subsequently appeared on the Battle of the Fantasy Bands television show, hosted by Terry Wogan.
On their website, The Fab Beatles also add they ‘pride themselves on professionalism and attention to detail’, and ‘it’s well documented that the Fab’s sound is the closest you will ever hear to the originals.’
What’s more, the band also sport authentic costumes and instruments – including the very drum kit Ringo used on The Beatles 1964 American tour.
