Thomas Nicholas, best known for playing unlucky in love Kevin in the hugely popular American Pie films, will be swapping the red carpets of Hollywood for an unscheduled stop in Gloucester to play with his band at the anticipated Underground Festival on Sunday 30 September 2012.
Drawing influence from the likes of the Foo Fighters, John Meyer and Bruce Springsteen, Thomas has been performing original music for 16 years, and has been hailed as learning the art of writing a pop song whilst keeping a foot firmly in the door of rock’n’roll.
Singer-songwriter Thomas is said to invite fans even deeper into his world of pop culture zeitgeist, by penning honest songs filled with raw emotion, and is matched on stage by the melodic grooves of bassist Clint Fowler, energetic drumming from Tim Moore and explosive riffs from Matt Kennedy on lead guitar.
Music fans can look forward to hearing tracks from the band’s latest EP, entitled TNB , which includes the rock anthem ‘My Generation’ that they might just recognise from the 2012 American Pie: Reunion soundtrack.
The Thomas Nicholas Band is set to rock the BBC Introducing stage from 3.15pm, completing the already jam-packed festival line-up spanning two days, which features the likes of Bastille, Lower Than Atlantis, Peace, Canterbury, Venice and many more.
