Nostalgic music-fans can enjoy a 12-hour session dedicated to records of all genres at the brand new Gloucester Vinyl Festival at Café Rene this April.

Celebrating all things vinyl, Café Rene will open its doors for the debut Gloucester Vinyl Festival, set to offer 12 hours of retro musical delights for the ultimate nostalgic music fan.

Taking place throughout Saturday 22 April 2017, the festival will kick off with an open deck outside from 3pm, where guests are free to take to the turntables to play some of their own retro records. Anyone interested in trying their hand should arrive at the start of the day, and get their name put on the chalk board.

Meanwhile, on the green next to Café Rene’s courtyard, there’s the chance to pick up vintage gems with stalls from Stroud and Gloucester Vinyl Connection, Black Pearl Vinyl and also retro clothing. There will also be an alfresco bar and BBQ to enjoy.

Promising an evening of quirky entertainment, festival-goers can also expect a showcase of the finest vintage vinyls when the best of Gloucester’s talented DJs take to the decks from 6pm – with both floors of the iconic city centre venue being taken over.

Shining the spotlight on this classic art form, the festival will raise funds for local Cheltenham charity, P3, and is expected to be a real spring highlight celebrating vinyl at the peak of its resurgence.
