The Berkeley Skirmish 2008 photo gallery
The first-ever Berkeley Skirmish held at Berkeley Castle went down an absolute storm. SoGlos.com reader TMR Davies was there to capture the action.
While Berkeley Castle is already a popular Gloucestershire attraction, on the weekend of Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July 2008 its grounds were transformed for a truly spectacular event – in the form of the first-ever Berkeley Skirmish.
With beautiful blue skies overhead, around 6,000 visitors flocked to the event, wandering amongst the living history camps, enjoying the battle re-enactment and the jousting and archery displays.
Armed with a camera, SoGlos.com reader TMR Davies snapped some stunning pictures – and here’s to hoping The Berkeley Skirmish makes a reappearance in 2009.
