One year on from the magnificent Tall Ships Festival which took over Gloucester Docks in 2007, the inaugural Pirates Weekend proved a firm favourite when it arrived at the historic attraction on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October 2008.
While SoGlos.com’s preview of the two-day event was one of the online magazine’s most popular articles in October, a staggering 10,000 visitors are reported to have attended by organisers – with swashbuckling action in the stunning location keeping everyone entertained.
