Christmas at The Wharf House in Gloucester

Until 31 January – Enjoy the perfect Gloucester Christmas with a sumptuous meal out at The Wharf House Restaurant, where turkey is banned for another year running.

The Wharf House in Gloucester will be welcoming festive diners from across Gloucestershire this Christmas, in despite of the synonymous turkey not appearing anywhere on its special seasonal menu.

Discerning diners will instead find alternative delights, including spicy sweet potato soup with a hint of pineapple; smoked salmon with a sweet dill and mustard sauce and The Wharf House salad; and duck liver and port paté with Cumberland sauce – all gracing the list of starters.

For main course, highlights include loin of venison rolled in walnut with redcurrant sauce; tomato compote and goat’s cheese with a red onion marmalade; and Herefordshire beef with beetroot gratin dauphinoise.

While festive celebrations will come to a close with delectable desserts, such as mango and ginger fool with sweet butter biscuit thins; dark chocolate and orange parfait with vanilla cream; and rocket and raspberry jelly with a cracked black pepper ice cream.
