Wine and Dine at The Regency Restaurant
26 June – Fans of fine food and wine will be flocking to The Regency Restaurant in Cheltenham’s Wine and Dine evenings, hosted by wine expert Pippa Hayward.
Aficionados of the grape and aspiring wine buffs alike are sure to enjoy The Regency Restaurant in Cheltenham’s 2008/9 season of Wine and Dine evenings, hosted by wine expert Pippa Hayward and promised by organisers to be both educational and entertaining.
Taking place on the fourth Friday of every month from Friday 26 September 2008 to Friday 24 July 2009, the evenings each follow a different theme and will give guests the chance to further their knowledge, taste a selection of wines from across the globe and enjoy a three-course dinner.
Each evening starts at 7.30pm when guests will be welcomed with a glass of bubbly and canapés, before sitting down to dinner and enjoying two different wines with each course – while the wine’s background, characteristics, grape variety and production are discussed, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and feedback.
Host Pippa Hayward has an extensive wine knowledge and will be taking diners on a virtual tour around the world as part of the Wine and Dine evenings, with each session showcasing a different country and the best wines from within it.
Places are limited and cost £49.50 per person including a three-course dinner and wine. A 10 per cent discount is offered when booking three or more sessions in advance. The dates and themes for the Wine and Dine evenings are as follows:
