Oliver Cromwell Paddlewheeler Showboat Night
Enjoy a three-course dinner, live entertainment from Anita Walsh and views over Gloucester Docks, by jumping aboard the next Oliver Cromwell Paddlewheeler Showboat Night.
Now a popular monthly fixture on Gloucester’s live entertainment calendar, the next Showboat Night on-board the Oliver Cromwell Paddlewheeler is set to be the most popular yet – thanks to live music from Anita Walsh and a special offer ticket price.
Taking place on Saturday 5 June 2010, guests boarding the iconic venue can expect an alternative night out, including a three-course dinner followed by live music from Cheltenham-born Anita Walsh, who is reported to have recently graced the stage at none other than legendary London venue Ronnie Scott’s.
Anita is described as a soprano vocalist and songwriter with an incredibly versatile voice. She sings blues, pop and rock with numbers such as ‘Summertime’, ‘Hit the Road Jack’ and ‘I Will Survive’ all being part of her repertoire.
The special evening will kick off at 7pm when the bar opens and drinks can be enjoyed on the top deck, with views across Gloucester Docks, before dinner is served at 7.30pm. Guests can then enjoy Anita’s set from the comfort of their tables, or on the dance floor, until 11pm.
Formerly the UK’s biggest riverboat hotel providing cruise holidays in the Severn Vale, the Oliver Cromwell Paddlewheeler was permanently moored at Gloucester Docks in 2009, and now gives visitors the chance to enjoy a three-course dinner and live entertainment, with views across the water.
Organisers say the nights are made even more special when enjoyed alongside a group of friends, and booking in advance comes highly recommended. Car parking is also available alongside the vessel.
