The Ice White New Year’s Eve Ball at Bowden Hall Hotel in Gloucester promises to be a luxurious evening of fine food and flamboyant entertainment for the grown-ups.

The red carpet is being rolled out for Bowden Hall Hotel’s luxurious Ice White New Year’s Eve Ball in Gloucester this year.

With bucks fizz and canapés on arrival, guests can expect to enjoy a menu including velouté of asparagus soup with cheese straws or ballotine of smoked salmon, with crab and crayfish roulade on winter leaves to start; Kir Royale sorbet next; with peppered fillet of beef with a gratin potato and brandy sauce or pan-fried sea bass served with a light lobster cream for the main course.

Those with a sweet tooth will be looking forward to the white chocolate and praline torte with marinated raspberries and chocolate sauce; cheddar and stilton plate with roasted pear and a celery and watercress salad; rounded off nicely with coffee and petits fours.

Seeing the over 18s evening into the wee hours will be live entertainment from the popular Mamma Mia tribute and dancing to the resident DJ’s choice of hits, with a lavish countdown expected as the clock strikes midnight.
