Foraging Day in the Forest of Dean
The Forest of Dean’s Tudor Farmhouse Hotel and Restaurant will be the setting for a special Foraging Day, taking place this spring.
Promising the perfect chance to blow away the winter cobwebs, the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel and Restaurant’s special Foraging Day is sure to be an exciting start to spring.
Taking place on Saturday 17 April 2010 from 9.30am, participants will be invited to enjoy a guided walk through the stunning local Forest of Dean woodlands and hedgerows – identifying and collecting edible mushrooms, herbs, berries and plants.
The event will be led by Raoul van Den Broucke, described by organisers as a local foraging guru, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions about nature’s garden of delights.
Returning to the hotel, guests can then choose to enjoy a set lunch menu featuring a range of in-season wild local foods, in the AA-rated award-winning restaurant.
Participants will need to use their own transport for transit between the hotel and foraging locations.
