Three local venues offer best steak in town
News – From classic sirloin and fine fillet to kangaroo and Wagyu Kobe beef, three local restaurants now offer some of the best steaks Gloucestershire has to offer.
Discerning carnivores hunting down their steak fix now have three great local venues to choose from, with Cafe Rene and Tiger’s Eye in Gloucester, as well as The Parrot Bar and Grill in Cheltenham, offering some of the best steak the county has to offer.
The independent group of popular restaurants have all developed their steak offering over the last year, with Cafe Rene and Tiger’s Eye sourcing local Cotswold Angus cuts from Mise en Place in Cheltenham, and The Parrot Bar and Grill sourcing it’s steaks from established local butchers Martin’s Meats, also located in Cheltenham.
Cafe Rene’s menu now includes classics such as rump, sirloin, rib-eye and T-bone, all chargrilled to the customer’s liking, while Tiger’s Eye provides the unique opportunity to cook-your-own beef fillet, kangaroo fillet, duck breast or lamb cannon on a sizzling Black Rock Grill at the table.
The Parrot Bar and Grill’s offering takes in the likes of Herefordshire Angus fillet, local Cotswold T-bone and Tomahawk rib-eye – with speciality rare breed steaks of the week including the coveted Wagyu Kobe beef.
